The past couple years have been a bumpy ride, although I could say it has been that way far longer. I want to focus on the last couple years though as they have changed the course of my life dramatically. I’ve been living with difficult chronic health conditions while also getting married and moving overseas to a place I have never been, it has been a huge change for me.

     I’m not sure my exact reasons for starting this blog yet, but my initial want for this is to have an outlet that I can let out some of my thoughts on my life so far and moving forward, and I hope by writing my thoughts down I will start to come up with a direction for both my writing and how I want to live my life going forward. I’m thinking of this as a form of journaling that has some public aspects to it. I have no desire to make this about being viewed or interacted with, but if some interesting insight comes my way from it, or if I have some positive interactions, I will welcome that.

     As a brief introduction, I am a woman in my mid 20’s from the United States who has recently moved to the United Kingdom with my wife of over a year. I have 2 cats that are both around 6 years old that I absolutely adore. Some of my interests include different forms of art, writing, board games, video games, animals, and many others. I try to keep things fresh and try new things to keep life interesting. I am chronically Ill with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), Fibromyalgia, and ME/CFS.

     I think for my first proper post, I want to write about a recent trip I took back to the US where my wife and I went to explore California while waiting for approval on my UK visa, because I have yet to process the trip in its entirety. It was both very eye opening and positive for me, and had its difficulties. I may end up changing my mind on what I write next though depending on how I feel. I want to write what feels right to me, that’s my top priority for these posts.
